Vacuum Delivery

Vacuum-assisted delivery is used when labor is prolonged or the baby needs help exiting the birth canal. It involves the use of a suction device to assist vaginal delivery, often helping avoid cesarean section in borderline cases.

What It Includes:

  • Controlled use of vacuum suction during delivery
  • Continuous monitoring of baby’s position and heart rate
  • Post-delivery observation for mother and baby
  • Management of minor tears or bleeding if any

Advantages:

  • Supports safe delivery when labor is not progressing
  • Reduces the need for surgical intervention
  • Safe for both mother and baby when used appropriately
